As a result of the checks carried out, RA State Environmental Inspection employees have revealed 994 illegally cut trees with a total volume of 530 square meter in the forests of RA, mainly in Lori and Tavush Marzes, from the beginning of the year till now. Thus, 7.086.000 AMD was levied to RA budget for the damage caused to nature. It should be mentioned that 1894 illegally cut trees were revealed in the same time period in 2008. 
  
As “Armenpress” was informed in the inspection office the environmentalists revealed 267 cases of violation of the flora laws in the same time period as compared with 256 violations in the same time period in 2008. 211 people were imposed administrative fines in the amount of 2.046.000 AMD. At the same time 249 protocols for damage compensation in the amount of 98,047,000 AMD were drawn up.
