The state of the population health in Alaverdi for 2009 significantly deteriorated. Under the report of the Alaverdi Health Center, the center registered 389 cancer patients in 2008, while in 2008 their number makes up 427. The number of mentally ill patients made up 716 in 2008, while it was 721 in 2009. The number of the patients with cardiovascular diseased in 2008 made up 276, while their number in 2009 was 324.
