Notwithstanding statements made by several NGOs that the forests in the republic droop and are cut down, under Ruben Petrosyan, the Chief Forester of “ArmForest”, PhD in Biological Sciences, such statements could be considered as substantiated 15 years ago. For the last 5 years, the tendency to situation improvement is obvious. Illegal tree felling has significantly decreased, while forests are regularly taken care of.
