Dear Mr. President
The Environmental Public Alliance consisting of 45 NGOs pursuing environmental problems draws your attentions to the problem jeopardizing to the existence of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve.
Taking into consideration the significance of this problem jeopardizing the sustainable development in the republic, the Alliance considers it necessary to review the Armenian Government decision (no. 673-N dated on 24 May 2007) on establishing “Gilan” State Wildlife Preserve in a particular area of “Khosrov Forest” State Reserve and to recover the territorial integrity in the Reserve.
This decision was adopted with gross violations of the Aarhus Convention provisions without taking into consideration public opinion and the country leading specialists’ opinions.
