- In your opinion, what are the biggest environmental problems in Armenia at present?
- In my opinion, these problems are mining and forest felling. Whether they are legal or illegal, they will remain for us as illegal, as we know huge territories of forest are cut down masked as sanitary felling. My friends decided to spend their summer holidays in different regions of Armenia: all they call and say trucks loaded with timber leave the forests; peasants complain forests are on the verge of extinction. Frequently all this is committed by forestry officers’ instructions.
