In May the concentration of cement in the atmospheric air in Hrazdan exceeded MPC (maximum permissible concentration) by 1.4 times. What about Ararat, the cement concentration exceeded MPC by 1.6 times. This information was passed to ArmInfo by the National Statistical Service.

GeoProMining Company represented by its subsidiary GPM Gold Company rented 950 ha of the village administrative territory and possesses the concession for the exploitation of Sotq gold deposit. The residents in Alaverdi Town are covered with 25 thousand tons of sulphuric anhydrite per year. Moreover, besides sulphuric anhydrite, the emissions contain 38,6 tons of a wide range of metals, mostly copper and lead. In practice, the whole town is in the first zone under the impact of the emissions by the Copper Molybdenum Combine in Alaverdi where the concentration of emissions can exceed the permissible limit by 30 times.
