Environment Ministry To Decide Till 4 September Whether Amulsar Project Needs to Undergo New EIA

The Ministry of Environment will decide by September 4, whether the Amulsar project should undergo a new Environmental Impact Assessment.

Reminder: on August 21, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on his Facebook page that the government staff sends the ELARD report to the Ministry of Environment to find out whether the report contains data on the Amulsar mine operation under Armenian legislation that need a new environmental impact assessment.

Spokesman for the Minister of Environment Armen Vardanyan told the Azatutyun radio station, "The order will be circulated to the professional departments of the Ministry in accordance with the law, the results will be summarized and the conclusion will be submitted to the Prime Minister's staff."
