Leopard Again in Tavush after 50 Years

In the area of Yenokavan village, Tavush Region, the cameras installed by WWF Armenia shot a leopard.

WWF Armenia press release says: “After a 50-year break, the leopard returned to Tavush Region. The animal was last seen in the area in the 1970s. Tavush became the fourth region in Armenia where a leopard lives. The Caucasian Leopard is included in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia (2010) with a "critical" status and listed in the IUCN with a “endangered” status.
