Alarm Signal from Sevan Town: Trees Felled Down (Photos)

EcoLur

Today EcoLu received an alarm signal from Sevan Town, Gegharkounik Region. The town residents saw in the morning how thick-trunk trees in Nairyan Street were being cut down and loaded to trucks.

Sevan Rural Municipality Architecture Department Employee told EcoLur that only 6 trees had been cut down. According to him, the trees had been felled down by the area owner (territory of ex “Zim” factory) for the purpose of planting new ones. The reason is thick trunks of the trees, which destroy the foundation of the building.
