EcoLur is continuing presenting the environmental promises of election programs of political powers taking part in the elections for Aldermen’s Council of Yerevan. This publication focuses on the environmental promises given by “Yerkir Tsirani” party, number 2 on the ballots.
In case of being elected, the party promises:
· To maximum recover the green areas laid down in the master plan of Yerevan,
· If it’s impossible to recover previous green areas, to develop a plan for supplementing green areas so as to have not less than 25 sq. m. per person.
The party is promising to implement a comprehensive project, which will include garbage and waste recycling, electricity production and ecological improvement. The party highlights solar energy development as the most important factor for the development of Yerevan: “Yerevan has favourable conditions for the use of solar energy. Most buildings in Yerevan can be used for solar energy, so the policy in this direction shall be prioritized.”
The party is promising to promote implementation of investment for the development of solar energy system.
The candidate for the position of Mayor’s office is Zaruhi Postanjyan, President of ‘Yerkir Tsirani’ party.
