The activists supporting Mashtots Park expressed their indignation with “Sur Ankyun” (Sharp Angle) program broadcast on Armenia TV on 6 May. The program is dedicated to the events in Mashots Park. The open letter addressed to the TV channel administration particularly says:
"In the course of “Sur Ankyun” program at 22:00 p.m. on 6 May a rather partial report on the events occurring in Mashtots Park was shown, as well as on the violence and unlawful actions demonstrated by the police on 29 May. This report distorts facts, separate events are shown exactly in the opposite way, the shooting of different situations was edited etc.
We condemn the partiality and falsifications implemented by your TV Company and demand to make a refutation, or to give us air to speak so as we could present our viewpoint and deny this libel. Otherwise, we will have bases to think that your company was guided by personal interests and intentionally broadcast the partial material,” the statement says.
