Yerevan Municipality is ready to destroy 15 thousand fruitful trees and vineyards in Noragavit for the football federation to construct a stadium. The residents of Noragavit area (Shengavit administrative quarter in Yerevan) are beating an alarm. They have already applied to PM Tigran Sargsyan. The residents particularly ask to take urgent measures for land users not to face such a situation.
On behalf of EcoLur we would like too add, that such enterprises as “Nairit”, “Pure Iron”, Yerevan Heat Station, which emit toxic gases into atmosphere, are located next to Noragavit. The emissions bear risks for the health of people living in this area and for environment. If the project is implemented, people will be left without green protection.
