‘We Are This City’s Owners” and “Our City” civic initiatives have made an announcement on the eve of Yerevan Aldermen’s Council elections. The initiatives propose all candidates to present clean description of certain solutions and to publish them in the press. “It should be mentioned that we should be able to oppose to oligarchs, line owners and other private stakeholders to give these solutions, to dismantle buildings, to ensure the application of Yerevan master plan and to return public territories to the public. All the forces should be accountable to Yerevan residents and bear responsibility for their steps made and to be made. The politics starts from public interest and material issues and not finished with campaigns,” says the statement circulated by the initiatives. ‘We Are This City’s Owners” and “Our City” civic initiatives have presented the summary of problems entitled “Yerevan: Organized Chaos or Management?”.
