In 2009-2010 decrease in agriculture sector of Armenia was observed due to climate conditions and economic crisis. Under Actions Plan on Plant Protection for 2012-2014, the volume of gross production in agriculture sector for 2009 decreased by 0.1% as compared with the preceding year and by 13,5% as compared with 2010.
The scenario for climate changes has been worked out in Armenia. Under the estimates, the total river flow will have decreased by 6.7% by 2030 and by 14.4% by 2070. The reduction in water supply will deteriorate the situation with agriculture.
