The Quebec University (Canada) researchers came to the conclusion in 2011 the indicator for ice melting in arctic was the highest within recent 1450 years. Scholars have shown that  the area of Arctic in 600 AD made up 8.5 million square kilometers, while the number for this year is 4.24 million square kilometers.
