Gagik Aghbalyan, Tavush Region, Lragir.am
When we received an alarm signal from Getahovit Village, Tavush Region, we visited Old Cemetery Quarter, which is getting destroyed day by day because of landslips.
According to Community Deputy Head Radik Yengibaryan, four years ago the Japanese specialists examined that territory and qualified it as a landslip zone. Then Seismic Engineering specialists visited that spot and qualified the day-by-day slipping territory as second class.
While the Armenian Government will take steps, the villagers are worriedly waiting for fall rains, as the landslips become more and more active in that season.
On the ground you can find cracks where even a person can get hidden.
