Nature Protection Minister Aramayis Grigoryan met with the ambassadors accredited in the Republic of Armenia and other officials of the diplomatic missions. At the meeting “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions of the Republic of Armenia” concept paper in the frames of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to be presented at the end of this year in Paris was introduced to the participants.
The participants were informed that the “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions of the Republic of Armenia” concept paper was approved by the interdepartmental coordination council on performance of the requirements of provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change as well as during the public hearings.
John Barker, International Cooperation Aid/Officer of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, highly valued the performed work and noted that Armenia will be one of the leading countries at Paris Convention in terms of level of preparedness and performance of tasks undertaken by “Intended Nationally Determined Contributions”.
