The RA Ministry of Agriculture will fulfill a pilot project of drip irrigation by means of state budget on 1 ha of land in the following communities such as Aknalitch, Shenik in Armavir region and Jrashen, Armash in Ararat region. Garnik Petrosyan, RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture told about this during the round table on the topic “Land Resources and Food Safety in the Light of Climate Change and Greenhouse Gas Emissions” held at “EcoLur” press club.

“We have separate lands which are considered to require excessive amount of water where the amount of water provided by usual irrigation norms isn’t sufficient to grow agricultural crops. I think this project will serve as an example to expand it. Though in some areas today we already have the example of drip irrigation”, said Garnik Petrosyan.
