On April 22, 2020, a group of non-governmental organizations and initiatives, citizens, addressed an open letter to RA President Armen Sargsyan, asking him to implement the idea of establishing a pan-national park instead of Tsitsernakaberd in the territory of Dalma Gardens. EcoLur Informational NGO has also joined this open letter.

The letter addressed to the President of the Republic of Armenia says:

"Dear President,
Welcoming your desire to preserve the memory of our historical homeland through a symbolic garden, we would like to draw your attention to another area. It contains a deeper meaning, as it summarizes the evidence of the history of Armenian existence, more than 6,000 years ago and involved evidence in being engaged in agriculture, horticulture and winemaking.

We are talking about Dalma Gardens, about 70% of which have already been destroyed, but the rest can still be saved. Armenian kings walked and created here, fruitful vineyards were planted, especially vineyards, the evidence of which has existed for thousands of years (such an ancient vineyard is only available in Rome), biographies and clones of traditional table and wine grapes have been found here, the preservation of which is endangered.

The area has been green for thousands of years, green fragments are still preserved, but new construction projects are emerging day by day and are being implemented at the expense of destroying and eliminating evidence of green space and Armenian history.

We offer you to implement your idea of having a pan-national garden, an Armenian garden in this area, to ensure that the garden remains a garden and does not become a series of restaurants and high-rise buildings. By implementing your idea in Dalma Gardens, it will be a very important contribution in all respects, especially to the special treatment of our history, public health, and the revival of a large green area on the verge of extinction in the capital in general.”
