On 3 June RA National Assembly Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Governance, Agriculture and Nature Protection discussed the bill on making amendments to RA Law 'On Approving Annual and Complex Programs for Recovery, Conservation, Reproduction and Use of Lake Sevan Ecosystem'. The bill was presented by Arsen Harutyunyan – Chairman of the State Committee on Water Industry. With some reservations RPA Faction MPs Aram Harutyunyan, Arayik Hovhannisyan, Nairia Sahakyan, Robert Sargsyan, 'Tsarukyan' Alliance MPs Hrant Madatyan, Vardevan Grigoryan approved the bill. Upon Committee Chairman Vardevan Grigoryan's proposal, Article 4 of the bill shall clearly mention the date of additional water intake termination – by 1 December 2017. Bill was voted against by NA 'Yelq' Faction MP Lena Nazaryan and 'Armenian Revolutionary Federation' Faction MP Suren Manukyan. At the meeting 'Yelq' Faction MPs Artak Zeynalyan and Mane Tandilyan had speeches. From public sector the participants of the meeting were Nazeli Vardanyan, Director of 'Forests of Armenia' NGO, Karine Danielyan, President of 'Association for Sustainable Human Development' NGO, Lianna Asoyan – President of 'Blejan' NGO and Inga Zarafyan, President of EcoLur Informational NGO.
