Civil activist Yeghia Nersessian has been set free after being detained by Arabkir Police. The police took Yeghia Nersessian and his advocate to Ararat and Vayots Dzor Court of General Jurisdiction for the case of illegal poaching of red-listed animals – Caucasian bear and Bezoar Goat in “Khosrov Forest” Reserve in September 2012. This poaching case has been detected with the efforts of the environmentalists, including Yeghia Nersessian, the latter is involved in this case as a witness.

“I was summoned several times to testify, but I replied I am overloaded and they have my previous testimonies…nothing has changed, it can be publicized, I don’t oppose it,” said Yeghia Nersessian to EcoLur. The environmentalist called the fact of his detention nonsense.
