“Kapan” civic movement initiated a signature collection on www.change.org against Surik Khachatryan’s reappointment as Syunik Regional Head. “In the Soviet period, Surik Khachatryn was convicted three times for committing crimes. In the years of independence Surik Khachatryan and the people surrounding him were closely related with a number of scandalous crimes. We consider re-appointing a person with such bio and behavior as Syunik Regional Head as a contempt against Syunik and all Armenian people,” the announcement of “Kapan” civic movement says.
