The Qanaqer-Zeytoun Court of General Jurisdiction will continue the trial of the claim issued by Deno Gold Mining Company CJSC against “green” activist Yeghia Nersissian at 15:00 on 13 May. Reminder: the company accused this public figure of defamation under Article 1087 (1) of RA Civil Code. The ground of the claim is the statement made by Yeghia Nersissian in Glendale, USA. Deno Gold Mining demands to refute the following statement: «...You know how foreigners treat in Armenia, for example, Canadian gold company applies electric shock in Kapan, so as the workers didn’t sleep 24 hours and worked, look…”.
The representatives of Deno Gold didn’t appear at the first hearing. The second hearing was dedicated to the reading of the plaintiff’s claim. Defedant Yeghia Nersissian didn’t accept the charges filed, and the company, in its turn, didn’t withdraw the claim.
