Tree felling and deep pruning are in progress in Yerevan. Alarm signals are beaten from everywhere. This time “We Are This City’s Owners” civic initiative has circulated an alarm signal that a slaughter of trees is in progress: poplars in front of Mayor Taron Margaryan’s house are felled down, trees in Sebastia-Malatia community are pruned up to trimming. “On 5 May (elections of Aldermen’s Council)” again barbarians won, who deal with eliminating green zones. Dozens of poplars are felled down in the yard of the financial college directly in front of Mayor Taron Margaryan’s house, while 95 poplars have been felled down in Malatia-Sebastia community, where young trees should be planted. The tree felling has captured the whole city – pine trees and poplars, as well as other trees have been killed.”
