State Committee on Water Industry Presented Controversial Figures on Sevan
The State Committee on Water Industry presented controversial figures as substantiation for water outlets from Lake Sevan. During the press conference on 21 June, Head of Financial-Economic Department of State Committee on Water Industry Mher Mkrtumyam noted that the level in Sevan will go down by 3-4 cm at the expense of water outlets in the volume of 329 million cubic meters. In the course of parliamentary discussions on 22 June State Committee on Water Industry Chairman Andranik Andreasyan noted that the level would decrease by 10-12 cm. At the same time, Chairman of Greens Union of Armenia Hakob Sanasaryan thinks that the lake level will get lower by 23-24 cm.
