In 2018 8 solar power plants are planned to be operated: in 2017 3 solar power plants with aggravate capacity of 2.5 MW had already been put into operation in Kotayq, Armavir and Aragatsotn Regions, as RA Deputy Minister for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan said at the meeting with the journalists at Armenpress Press Conference Hall on 13 February.
One of the planned large projects is the construction of industrial-scale ‘Masrik 1’ solar photovoltaic station in Mets Masrik Community, Gegharkounik Region.
‘We have announced a competition for the construction of a station with 55 MW capacity, which is very special in terms of the tariffs. That is the investor who will propose the least tariff will be entitled to construct the solar power station with a capacity of 55 MW. We may finish the competition in 1-2 months and will present the results,’ Hayk Harutyunyan said.
