Forest-Covered Territory Presented As Treeless for Mining

On 31 May the Armenian government will discuss the draft project submitted to Territorial Administration Territory, which lays down that the category of 1.15 ha of the forest fund owned by Qarinj Village Community, Lori Region, will be lowered to develop basalt mine in Zkrout. The project deicion says that this territory is treeless, meanwhile the Agriculture Ministry insists that the very 1.15 ha is forest-covered.
