'Last year the only sector where high indicator of electricity payments was fixed is mining, where the electricity payments are about 30% more,' said ANC Faction deputy Aram Manukyan at the press conference held at the Media Center on 24 Feburary. He gave the following explanation to the increase in electricity consumption in mining sector: 'The price of the raw material has decreased twice in the international market and the producer shall produce and sell more to have the same income and to pay taxes and to keep the employers, which results in the destruction of environment. But if they scrub off the nature and pay a bit more, it doesn't mean that the energy system will improve at its expense. It was a one-itme payment, that's it. No strategy...The Armenian economy is being destroyed: no incomes and no production...'
