“Multi Group Concern” LLC operated the ore dressing plant and tailing dump without the conclusion of an environmental impact assessment. This was revealed by the employees of Nature Protection and Mining Inspection Body as a result of the partial inspection carried out at Mghart gold mine in Lori Region. According to the statement of the inspection body, the Company violated the requirement of Article 14 (4(2(b))) of RA Law on Environmental Impact Assessment and Expertise.
An administrative fine in the amount of 100,000 AMD was imposed. It was instructed to perform the operation of the ore dressing plant and the tailing dump in case of an expert opinion on the impact on the environment.
