Government Concluded New Agreement on Amoulsar Project with Lydian International

The official website of Lydian International Company informs that the company has concluded a new agreement with the Armenian Government on Amoulsar gold mine development project. In accordance with its license, the company is obliged to mine not less than 2.6 million tons ore per year within 4 years. The license is valid till 2034 and has an option for extension. The company received the license after the Nature Protection Ministry has issued a positive environmental expertise opinion. Reminder: the positive opinion was issued on 31 July 2012 under the conditions of performing several causes. Nevertheless, Nature Protection Ministry doesn’t inform whether or not these clauses are performed. The official website of the Ministry displays three different projects on Amoulsar, which haven’t undergone any changes since 31 July 2012.
