In the Government a conference took place headed by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan in which the managers and representatives of mining companies took part. The Minister of Economy of the RA Karen Chshmaritian stated that in this field playing a great role in the economy of Armenia economic growth was recorded in the current year to which new investment programs and the increase in production volumes significantly contributed.Then a number of issues concerning further development of mining companies, expected new investment programs, future steps towards their realization, problems existing in this field, fluctuations in the prices of nonferrous metals in the international market were discussed and suggestions were made.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan estimated high the role of mining in the development of economy and stated that this filed is under his daily attention. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Armenian Government was ready to support the development of the companies in this field and discuss any question and problem concerning them.
