The Pan-Armenian Environmental Front submitted proof about the breakdown of the tailing dump owned by Ler Ex Company. '...The activists climbed up to the upper part of the Geghi River, km kilometers away from Achabaj Village. The camera has fixed that a breakdown had occurred. The plastic pipes burst open in several places because of floods and its content poured out into the Geghi River. At the same time, Ler Ex Company denies the breakdown though the video clearly shows how the tails appeared in the river and the content of the pipes poured out into the lower part of the river. The Inspection should take samples for the analysis form the areas factually exposed to dumps. And here questions arise: whether the tailing dump has the opinion of the environmental expertise and which competent body issued a permit for the use of plastic pipes in the mountainous river? Why the works at the ore processing factory were not stopped? And why the company itself didn't declare about the breakdown situation? And eventually, on which project the company operates?'
