On February 8 in the course of parliamentarian hour opposition “Heritage” Faction Head Stepan Safaryan stated, “Prospecting works are currently in progress in the mountains of Tavush region, near Teghout Village.” In reply Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan said that the body he governs doesn’t have any information on the case mentioned by the deputy and promised to specify the situation in shortest terms possible and to make them aware. When referring to the deputy’s proposal on adopting a special law on the effective and rational use of soil, the Minister considered it reasonable and proposed Safaryan to make such an initiative.
