The official statement of the Armenian President’s Press Service informs that in the course of the official visit to France the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan discussed with the French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault the issue about attracting French companies in the construction of a new power unit of ANPP.
Thus, in accordance with the official statements, besides Russia, France also expressed its wish to make an investment in the construction of a new power unit at ANPP. Still there are no certain arrangements, and the issue of construction is postponed for uncertain time period. In reality, this postponing 10 years of prolonging makes up the prolongation of the operation of the current power unit of the ANPP. Reminder: the USA agreed to provide the technical maintenance of the existing power unit.
