France is seriously discussing the issue of its participation in the construction of a new power unit of Armenian nuclear power plant. State Secretary and Minister of Foreign Trade of France Pier Lelush made this statement in Yerevan on 10 October. The Armenian President also welcomed the possible participation of France in the construction of Armenian nuclear power plant during his meeting with French President Nicolya Sarkozy.
This statement of the French party can ensure significant progress in the launch of constructing the second power unit of the nuclear power plant.
