Public Relations Department of Territorial Administration Ministry informs that seventy-meter-high water reservoir with a total capacity of 20 million square meters is planned to be constructed on the Vedi River, which enables to water around 2744 ha with gravity irrigation instead of current mechanical irrigation. As a result, a number of pumping stations will be put out of service, which will promote to the more effective operation of the system. Under this source, on April 13 Armenian Deputy PM, Acting Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan visited the place of the future reservoir in Vedi, which is located in the territory of Goravan community, Ararat Region. With competent officials Armen Gvergyan examined the location and discussed a number of question concerning the territory and reservoir construction.
