At the meeting of the government held on 23 March, the Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan assigned RA Nature Protection Minister to develop within two months and to present an action plan on the recovery of fish resources and sustainable use in Lake Sevan with a clear schedule and measurable indicators. The Prime Minister also assigned to study and present proposals based on establishing a biospheric reserve based on 'Sevan' National Park and to asess the effeciency of the operation of 'Sevan' National Park.
Karen Karapetyan assigned the Minister for Economic Development and Investment within one month to present a special program and an action plan aimed at tourism development in the area of Sevan National Park. 'First of all, we will inventory all Lake Sevan. There are numerous assets, which don't work and we will establish a special legal field, where we will motivate active people to work with out progressive taxes. We shall strictly regulate leasing areas, as any person fences their areas as they want. Normal conditions shall be set for investments,' the Prime Minister outlined.
