By 2020 Armenia intends to decrease the use of ozone-depleting substances by 66.6%. In order to reach this objective, it’s planned to improve the technical equipment of the country in terms of preventing illegal trade of ozone-depleting substances and management, training of vocational institutions, enhancing service capacities in cooling and air-conditioning sectors obtaining 25 kits of tools necessary for technical service in an ozone-safe manner. It’s planned to have four technically-equipped customs points. These activities will be carried on the frames of the second stage of “Phase-out of Hydrochloroflorocarbons”, which was signed by RA Deputy Nature Protection Minister Khachik Hakobyan and UNDP Deputy Resident Representative Dmitri Mariasin on 4 December.
