As compared with 2014 the level of Lake Sevan has decreased by 7 cm and accounts for 1900 meters and 15 cm, as Mher Mkrtumyan, Head of Staff of State Committee on Water Industry of Agriculture Ministry, said at the press conference held at EcoLur Press Club.

“This fact is already worrying, as the rivers currently flow transfer sufficient water into the lake, and the snow cover is not sufficient either,” Mher Mkrtumyan expressed his concern. H mentioned that the State Committee on Water Industry had circulated the draft governmental resolution on water outlets from Lake Sevan for 170 million cum water.

Reminder: in 2014 270 million cum water was taken from Lake Sevan because of the lack of water, which is 100 million cum as much as the statutory volume.
