National Park, Watch Out: Summer Cottages Constructed in Sevan (Photos)

EcoLur

During the monitoring conducted by EcoLur working group in Sevan basin, we met a truck loaded sod. We couldn’t find out where this layer has been taken from, but we saw how the truck drove into the territory of one of the summer cottages constructed on Lake Sevan shore.

Photo report made by EcoLur also shows other construction and recently constructed houses. Some of them are located lower than 1905 meters above sea level, some of them above. But all of them have capital fences stretching almost to the lake shore, which is illegal. We call for Sevan National Park to draw attention to these buildings, and their whereabouts is obvious immediately from the road and to assess the lawfulness of the issued permits and documents, as well as to reveal from where and to whom the sod was designed for, the total square of the sod was at least 200 sm.
