In reply to the alarm signals on the decrease in Lake Sevan level, Nature Protection Ministry announces about its willingness to organize site visits to Sevan Town and to examine locks and other mechanisms on the spot, which are mantled on the canal taking water from Lake Sevan to make sure that no water outlets are carried out from Lake Sevan. What about water transfers through Arpa-Sevan tunnel N2, according to the office in charge of “Arpa-Sevan” rehabilitation – State Committee on Water Industry of Agriculture Ministry, currently works are in progress, which are planned to be accomplished on 20 December 2017. The rehabilitation works are carried out 7 months a year, while water is transferred to Lake Sevan in remaining 5 months. Currently around 0.08 million cubic meters is transferred per day, which, according to “ArmHydroMetService”, are underground flows. In 2015 around 106 million cubic meter water was transferred to the lake through Arpa-Sevan tunnel.
