The Armenian Government allotted US $ 567,491 for the reconstruction of Arpa-Sevan Tunnel. The project decision saysthat “this is conditioned by acceleration of destruction of surface layer of the tunnel and transfer of water may lead to the unpredictable consequences. According to the decision of the expert committee on preservation of Lake Sevan, it’s planned to ensure the safety of aqueduct 2 within whole 2012 and not to have any water run within this whole period.”
