The geography of S.O.S Sevan campaign is getting wider and wider. The Aarhus Centres from Lori, Tavush, Shirak, Ararat, Syunik, Kotayk and Gegharkounik Regions and NGOs from Gyumri, Dilijan, Vayots Dzor, Martouni, Sevan and Yerevan have already joined “S.O.S. Sevan” Facebook group.
S.O.S Sevan public campaign is directed against ore processing companies operating in the basin of Lake Sevan and against indifference of competent state officials who allowed Geopromining Gold Company to construct a crushing and sorting complex in Sotq, the basin of Sevan, thus violating RA Law “On Lake Sevan”, “Gegamet Plus” Company to construct a plant of chromium-containing ore processing in Shorzha 2 km far away from Sevan shore, Mika cement Company to destroy the landscape of unique Ardanish Peninsula.
