Tree Felling in Territory of Parz Lake

The environmentalists are beating an alarm that the natural appearance and ecosystem of “Parz Litch” natural monument has been marred. “Trchkan” civic initative has circulated a statement, which says that Vladimir Saroyan, a citizen of Armenia, called the hot line of Nature Protection Ministry still on 24 October 2012 concerning the tree felling carried out in the territory of “Parz Litch” natural monument of Dilijan National Park, s well as the construction works carried out in that territory.  “In our opinion, the protection regimes prescribed for national parks and natural monuments by RA Law “Specially Protected Areas”. Again we eye witness such activities in the territory of specially protected area, which is the result of the actions by the state competent body, Nature protection Ministry, as Dilijan National Park is under their immediate control.  Once again it’s not the Ministry which detects striking violations, but ordinary citizens,” says the statement of “Trchkan” civic initiative.
