“Teghout: Mine or Life” forum designated on 26 May, which was supposed to be held at the American University of Armenia, didn’t take place. In this regard, the organizers – “Teghout Supporters” Civic Initiative circulated a statement, which particularly says, ““Teghout Supporters” Civic Initiative had a prior arrangement with AUA Council to hold this event. Nevertheless, as this even is supposed to be a public one, the civic initiative couldn’t restrict the participation of the mass media… In return, the administration proposed to hold events in American Business Center on lease terms in future. Some questions arise: 1) whether AUA statement about becoming a civic society has imitating character…2) Where is the place where civic society should sustain…3) Whether students in Armenia actually enjoy freedom and who HEIS are for.” Read the full version in Armenian.
