Studies conducted still in the Soviet period in Teghout detected about 100 million tons of turquoise bed. Complex geological structure hinders to determine exact amount of reserves. According to ACP Director Gagik Arzumanyan’s interview to “Armenpress”, turquoise bed is planned to remove, accumulate and refine, while any sort of explosions will be excluded. Under the project, households will work on spot where they will refine turquoise.
