Environmental and Subsoil Inspection Body denies the information received from a resident of Vahan village in Gegharkunik Region that the stone pit has contaminated the village's drinking water supply.

In response to EcoLur's inquiry, Marat Badalyan, Deputy Head of Inspection Body, said: “The study revealed that Vardanikar mine was overloaded with VAMMAV Limited Liability Company SHAT-29/513 mining permit which has an environmental impact assessment report.
The alarm signal received from a resident of Vahan village is not true. There is no mining for about three years. The inspection team sampled drinking water from the regulating reservoirs of the day and submitted it to the laboratory for examination.”
