In 2020, forest felling will be carried out for the construction of Iran-Armenia 400 kV overhead power transmission line in Kapan forestry enterprise. Compensation for the damage caused to the forest is also planned in the form of reforestation.
At its June 4 sitting, the executive reached a decision to allow the procurement process required for tree felling and afforestation services to be carried out through a one-person procurement procedure. The document does not specify how many trees will be cut down in how many hectares and where the reforestation will be carried out.
Given that the project is scheduled to be completed on December 31, 2020, there is little time left for forest felling and reforestation.
