“It’s over half a year since we haven’t had any water, they runs from tape only several hours per week. We deal with water studies, but we don’t have water, while the agreement says, we must have water 24/7,” said Bardukh Gabrielyan, Director of Scientific Center for Zoology and Hydroecology at the press conference dedicated to World Water Day at “EcoLur” Press Club. The center deal with laboratory and research, for which they need running water and not water collected in containers.
The Center has applied to ‘Yerevan Jur’ CJSC, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, but no response so far. “Our building is in front of Pepsi Cola plant. As soon as it was constructed, our water was cut off. I have big doubts that our not having water depends on this. I ask them to give us water from 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, we don’t need water 24/7, but they don’t. My employees came and asked me for permit to go home, as they can’t work, and I let them go,” Bardukh Gabrielyan said. Under him, if the problem is not solved, they will call upon the court.
