State Environmental Inspection dealing with Waste Dumps to Dzoraget River?

The wastes of Armanis gold mine are dumped with trucks directly to Dzoraget River. The Corrdinator of the Aarhus Center in Stepanavan Manya Melikjanyan made a statement about this in EcoLur Group on Facebook. Armanis Mine is developed by “Sagamar” Company.
On 17 January EcoLur sent a letter in this regard to the State Environmental Inspection of Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia with a request to conduct examination in this enterprise.
On 24 January EcoLur again sent a letter to Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia, which particularly requests, whether the inspection responded to the alarm signal, whether the examination started, environmental damage – assessed, and most importantly, whether or not the dumping of wastes into Dzoraget River was stopped.
